Guinness 's First Show

Back

Emily took Guinness to his first show on 10th October - the 'East of England Autumn Country Show'.  Emily took him in the Young Handlers class and got a 'highly commended' rosette as well as towed around the arena by him!  He was on his toes the whole time and jumped on her foot at least once!   Emily also rode him but not in a class. Jayne drove the box and Sami, Hannah, Gemma and Guinness's owner Alan were all there assisting!  But as the pictures show there is a lot of Guinness to support!  Click here for more pictures

The New News!

Back

Especially for Sam's friend - the new news is that there is no real news!  Balti and Falstaff are growing and have now had their feet trimmed.  Both are seasoned travellers having been to the vet's and back with their Mums to see if they are in foal again for next year.  As the picture shows, they are good friends!

Another successful show - 27th June 2004

Back

Emily, Holly, Hannah and Gemma took Breeze of Woodwalton, Angel of Islington (Izzy) and Woodwalton Hogwarts (Desmond) to the Long Sutton Horse and Pony show on 27th June.  In addition, Jayne not only drove them all there and showed her yearling, Townies Braveheart (Scooby), but judged as well!   Breeze had the best day - she was second in the Family Horse class ridden by Emily then 5th in the Best Rider with Holly.  Click here for more pictures.

Huge chestnut colt for Fabienne - born 5 Jun 04

Back

Another lovely colt arrived safely at 6am on Saturday 5 Jun 04.  An experienced Mum, this being her 4th foal, Fabienne took it all in her stride.  The colt (named Woodwalton Falstaff) is by the advanced eventer and graded Trakhener, Godington Hannibal.

Lovely colt for Saffron - born 22 May 04

Back

A stunning bay colt arrived safely at 04.35am on Saturday 22 May 04.  Saffron was absolutely thrilled with her first baby and refused to let him feed initially, as she wished to kiss and lick him continually!  With a little help, she soon got the idea and is proving to be a wonderful mum.  The colt has been named Woodwalton Bhaltair and will been known as Balti!  Click here for more pictures.

Ponies do well at HDRC Open Show

On 2 May Jayne, Hannah, Gemma and Sam took Harvey Wallbanger, Angel of Islington (Izzy)  and Woodwalton Hogwarts (Desmond) to the Huntingdon & District Riding Club Show at Keysoe.  There were some notable achievements:  Jayne jumped Harvey for the first time indoors and persuaded him to jump every fence.  In the afternoon, Jayne's daughter Sam took Harvey in the Most Handsome Gelding class and was placed 4th in a large class.

It was Hannah and Desmond's first show and they competed in the Dressage and showing classes - gaining a couple of Special rosettes.  Gemma and Izzy were also at their first show and were 4th in the Best Turned Out, 3rd in the in-hand Coloured and 4th in the Pony the Judge Would Most Like to Take Home class.  Overall, a very successful day.  Click here for more pictures

Flame Ridden Champion at TBF Show

Back

Woodwalton Flame was outstanding at her first show - winning the Potential Completion Horse Class (open to 4 & 5 year olds) at the 2003 Trakehner Breeders' Fraternity Show.  Flame and Bev followed this victory up by taking the Ridden Championship - beating the 9 and 8 year old winner and second from the open Riding Horse Class!  These classes were open to pure and part bred trakehner's, making part-bred Flame's achievement even greater.  Bev was complemented by the German judge on having produced and shown Flame in a way totally suitable for her age - not bad considering Bev was riding with a groin injury that meant she couldn't use her stirrups!
